đźš™ Welcome to the Car Rental Agency OS
Welcome to the Pika_Notion family! Whether you're managing four cars on Turo or running a bustling independent rental lot, chaos is the enemy of profitability.
We built this system to replace messy whiteboards, lost inspection photos, and chaotic spreadsheets. This workspace is fully interconnected—when you log a booking, the system automatically calculates the price, updates vehicle availability, and tracks your cash flow.
New to Notion? Don't worry. This guide will show you exactly how to run your daily operations without breaking a sweat.
đź’ˇ Notion 101: Quick Tips for Beginners
Before jumping into your fleet, here are three golden rules:
- Use the Mobile App: Download Notion on your phone. This is crucial for the Inspections & Damage Log—your agents can snap photos of scratches directly on the lot and upload them instantly to the client's file.
- Drag and Drop: On visual boards (like the Wash & Prep Queue or Master Bookings Timeline), click and drag cards to change their dates or status.
- The Magic Slash (
/): When typing notes inside a page (like client details), type / to open a menu where you can add headings, bullet points, or upload files.
🗺️ Understanding Your Dashboard Layout
Your system is divided into three zones:
- Module 1: Assets & People. Your permanent directory. It holds your Fleet (the physical cars), Clients (renters and ID photos), and Team & Staff.
- Module 2: The Operations Engine. Where daily work happens. It tracks active Bookings, physical Inspections, and the Maintenance queue.
- Module 3: The Financial Ledger. Separates Income and Expenses to automatically calculate your cash flow and individual vehicle profitability.
