Welcome! This guide walks you through every part of the Wealth Management & Advisory OS — what each database does, how they connect, and the day-to-day workflows for running an advisory practice. Read it once top to bottom, then keep it as a reference.

1. What's inside

The system is built on 9 interconnected databases. Every record links to related records, so you can navigate from a household to its accounts, from an account to its holdings, and from a client to their fees and meetings — without duplicate data entry.

Database What it holds Key connections

No manual math. Total AUM, Current Value, Net Contributions, Funding Progress, and Unrealized G/L are all computed automatically from linked records. Keep the relations filled in and the numbers stay correct.

2. Getting started (15 minutes)

  1. Review the Model Portfolios. Open Model Portfolios and adjust the four sample strategies (or add your own). The Allocation Check formula confirms each one totals 100%.
  2. Add your first household. In Households & Clients, create a new entry — the Household Template loads automatically with linked views for accounts, plans, fees, meetings, documents, and tasks.
  3. Open their accounts. Add each managed account in Accounts, link it to the household, and pick its model strategy.
  4. Load holdings. Add positions in Holdings with quantity, cost basis, and current price. Account values and household AUM update instantly.
  5. Log the money. Every fee, deposit, and withdrawal is one row in Fees & Payments — set Direction (In/Out), link the household, and the dashboards take care of the rest.
  6. Delete the sample data. The template ships with a realistic sample practice (the Whitfields, Harrington Trust, and friends) so you can see everything working. Once you've explored, delete the sample rows in each database.
