π Welcome to Founder OS: Your Quick Start Guide
Welcome! Founder OS isn't just a to-do listβit's a complete operating system designed to run your entire business.
This system is powerful, which means it can feel overwhelming on day one. Don't panic. You don't need to use every feature right away. This guide will show you exactly how to start, step-by-step.
ποΈ Step 1: The Setup (Do this first)
Before adding daily tasks, let's build your foundation.
- Set your Vision: Go to π― Goals (OKRs) and add 1β3 big goals for the quarter (e.g., "Hit $10k/month" or "Launch new website").
- Build your Menu: Go to ποΈ Products & Services and list what you sell. Add names, descriptions, and prices. This will save you hours when creating invoices later.
- Log your Fixed Costs: Go to π΄ Expenses (Bills & Subs) and enter your recurring software subscriptions (Notion, web hosting, etc.). Set the
Frequency to Monthly or Yearly. Your Dashboard will automatically track your burn rate.
π Step 2: The Core Workflow (How things connect)
The magic of Founder OS is how the databases talk to each other. Here's the typical lifecycle of a client project:
- The Lead: You meet someone. Add them to the π₯ CRM and set their stage to
Lead or Discovery.
- The Sale: They agree to buy. Change their CRM stage to
Won.
- The Work: Create a new item in π Projects (e.g., "Website for John"). Crucial: Link this project to John in the CRM.
- The Grind: Open that project page and start adding your daily β
Tasks.
- The Hand-off: When the work is done, upload the final files to π¦ Deliverables.
- The Payday: Go to π’ Income, create an invoice, link it to the product you sold, and link it to John.
